CCKSS Celebrates Chinese New Year!

Tossing to Prosperity, Celebrating Togetherness! – Chinese New Year at CCKSS

CCKSS ushered in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration filled with festive cheer, cultural performances and meaningful moments of togetherness. The school came alive as students, staff and parents gathered to celebrate the traditions and significance of the Lunar New Year.

The festivities began with a lively mass lo hei, as the CCKSS family tossed high for prosperity, good health, happiness and success in the year ahead. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, excitement and well-wishes, setting the tone for a memorable celebration.

A series of captivating performances added colour and energy to the occasion. From an energetic lion dance and a mesmerising face-changing performance to impressive showcases by our Wushu team, Guitar Ensemble and Modern Dance, our CCKSians were treated to a wonderful display of talent and cultural appreciation. Fun Chinese New Year quizzes further engaged the audience, bringing smiles and laughter throughout the celebration.

We were also delighted to have members of our Parent Support Group join us in the festivities. Their enthusiastic participation and continued support reflected the strong partnership between home and school, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Beyond the performances and festivities, the celebration provided an opportunity for our CCKSians to appreciate Chinese cultural traditions while strengthening friendships and fostering a sense of belonging. It was a wonderful reminder that celebrations are made more meaningful when shared as one school community.

As we welcomed the Lunar New Year, we embraced the spirit of “Growing Together, Thriving Together,” looking forward to another year of shared experiences, meaningful connections and collective achievements.

Gong Xi Fa Cai! May the year ahead bring happiness, good health and prosperity to all!
