Total Defence Day 2026: Building Resilience Through Learning and Action
At Chua Chu Kang Secondary School, Total Defence Day 2026 was commemorated through meaningful learning experiences that encouraged our CCKSians to reflect on their roles in keeping Singapore strong, united and resilient.
Through sharing sessions on the six pillars of Total Defence, students gained a deeper appreciation of how everyone has a part to play in safeguarding our nation. Putting Social Defence into action, our CCKSians also contributed Ang Pows for the elderly, demonstrating how simple acts of kindness and care can strengthen the bonds within our community.
The commemoration culminated in a digital disruption exercise, where students and staff experienced first-hand the challenges of unexpected technological breakdowns. This provided a valuable opportunity to practise adaptability, problem-solving and resilience while recognising the importance of Digital Defence in an increasingly connected world.
Beyond understanding the importance of Total Defence, our CCKSians learnt that resilience begins with everyday actions, a willingness to help others and the determination to overcome challenges together.
Through these experiences, we continue to nurture responsible citizens who are ready to contribute to a stronger, more caring and resilient Singapore.
