CCKSS Celebrates National Day!

This Is Our Home This Is Our Singapore
Chua Chu Kang Secondary School came alive in a sea of red and white as CCKSians gathered to commemorate Singapore’s National Day. More than a celebration of how far our nation has come, the occasion was an opportunity for our school community to reflect on the shared values, resilience and sense of belonging that continue to carry Singapore forward.
The celebration began with the National Day Parade, led proudly by members of our Uniformed Groups. With commands ringing across the parade square, our students marched with discipline, confidence and purpose. Behind every salute and synchronised movement were hours of preparation, teamwork and determination.
Accompanying the parade was our Concert Band, whose music added to the sense of ceremony and occasion. Together, our Uniformed Groups and musicians set the tone for a celebration filled with pride and patriotism.
Beyond the parade, the spirit of National Day could be felt throughout the school. Flags waved proudly, familiar songs filled the air and cheers rang out as hundreds of CCKSians stood together, united in celebrating the country we call home.
Members of our Parent Support Group also joined us for the festivities, cheering our students on and sharing in this special occasion. Their presence was a meaningful reminder that the strength of our school, much like Singapore itself, lies in the community that surrounds and supports our young people.
Working quietly behind the scenes were our students from the Infocomm CCA, who helped capture precious memories of the celebration while ensuring that the audiovisual systems ran smoothly throughout the event. Their contributions demonstrated that every member of the school community has an important role to play in making an occasion such as this a success.
Our National Day celebration was ultimately about more than flags, songs and performances. It was about belonging — recognising that while we may come from different backgrounds and have different stories, we share a common home and a collective responsibility for its future.
As we celebrate the Singapore we inherited and the Singapore we share today, we also look ahead to the Singapore that our young people will one day shape and lead.
