Racial Harmony Day – Be Inspired! Be Involved!
The CCKSS community came together to celebrate Racial Harmony Day with the theme "Be Inspired! Be Involved!", reaffirming the importance of mutual respect, understanding and unity in Singapore's multicultural society.
The school was filled with a vibrant festive atmosphere as many students and staff arrived dressed in their traditional ethnic attire, creating opportunities to learn about one another's cultures, share experiences and celebrate Singapore's rich diversity.
Beyond the celebrations, students deepened their understanding of racial harmony through meaningful learning experiences. During Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons, they explored how to recognise and respond to everyday bias and prejudice. A school-wide assembly presentation further highlighted why racial harmony is a precious achievement that should never be taken for granted.
The celebration culminated in the Multicultural Mosaic Activity, where students across both campuses contributed reflections on what racial harmony meant to them using colourful Post-it notes. Together, these individual messages formed a collective mosaic that symbolised the shared commitment of the CCKSS community to fostering an inclusive and harmonious Singapore.
Through reflection, dialogue and celebration, Racial Harmony Day encouraged students to appreciate diversity, strengthen social cohesion and play their part in building a more caring and inclusive society.
